After winning the first race of the season at Le Mans, Team Kawasaki SRC has further improved the set-up of its ZX-10R 2016 at every subsequent FIM EWC race. During Friday’s second leg of qualifying at the Oschersleben 8 Hours, riders Gregory Leblanc, Matthieu Lagrive and Fabien Foret performed even better than on the previous day and placed the Kawasaki #11 fifth on the starting grid, close behind the other contenders for the 2016 world title. The points gap between these teams is a narrow one, so a win at Oschersleben, the final round of the world championship, is practically the only way to sweep the title. And Team Kawasaki SRC is determined to win.
“We’ve made excellent progress, says Gilles Stafler, team manager of Team Kawasaki SRC. We made good use of qualifying to hone in on the best possible set-up for the race, and we’ve found solutions that should really help us defend our chances on the track tomorrow.”
The Oschersleben 8 Hours will start at 2pm CEST tomorrow, Saturday 27 August. The race is expected to finish after nightfall, at 10pm.
