The Dane continued his run of impressive Qualifying sessions with fifth-fastest lap time in the morning and used his inside gate-pick to round the first two turns in the top-eight before his realistic hopes of a top-six finish were scuppered as another rider slammed him into the trackside earth-bank, pushing the Kawasaki rider back to nineteenth at the completion of lap one. Repeating his Qualifying pace he made a succession of clever moves, his final pass for tenth coming on the very last lap. Escaping the usual carnage through the first few turns in race two Mikkel quickly settled into the top-ten but passing lines had become rarer as the day progressed; however he managed to advance two positions by mid-moto for eighth in moto to ensure tenth overall on the day, just five points shy of fifth in a tight leaderboard. He remains twelfth in the championship points standings and retains the chance of a top-ten series ranking after the final round at the same venue on Wednesday.
 
Mikkel Haarup: “I again had a good Qualifying so the pace is there, and I got a really good jump out of the gate but I couldn’t make it happen through turn one and then I got pushed into the bank at turn two. After that I battled up through the pack from around twentieth to tenth with some good lines and good passes. I was a little more sneaky through the first few corners in race two to come out in the top ten and I feel I could have done even better than eighth but I was struggling to find lines to make the difference this time. I’m going to try to find better lines on Wednesday to end the season on a high note with a top-five.“
 
Bike It MTX Kawasaki’s Wilson Todd earnt eleventh gate-pick during Qualifying and made a good start in race one to hold an early eighth. Temporarily pushed back to tenth the Australian responded strongly during the second half of the moto to regain eighth at the finish and significantly gain three points in his chase for a top-ten series ranking. His fortune changed at the start of race two as he was involved in chaotic scenes at the tight second corner; rejoining the race at the back of the pack he continued to push all moto to claim seventeenth at the finish. He retains eleventh in the points standings and will endeavour to close down an eleven-point deficit to tenth in the final round on Wednesday.
